Kate MacAlister
Kate MacAlister is a poet, feminist activist, and founder of the multilingual community arts and literature project Stimmen der Rebellion/Dengê Berxwedane/Voices of Rebellion.

She developed her writing practice under Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy studying Creative Writing and Poetry at the Manchester School of Art MacAlister's poetry weaves a mesmerizing tapestry of ritual magic and transformative flames.
She defies traditional forms, using the melodic cadence of an arcane spell to captivate her readers. Themes of the female body, the interaction with the earth, and the power of connection are intertwined in her work.
Kate MacAlister is a poet who dares to challenge the world's injustices and ground her poetry in revolutionary practice of intersectional feminism. Her works are an unapologetic call to action, an awakening of the dormant energy within, and a love song to those who stand up for a world free from patriarchal oppression.
She has published two collections of poetry ('songs of the blood', Querencia Press 2022 & 'burn it all down the kiss me', Sunday Mornings at the River, 2023) and countless poems in magazines worldwide.

Anlässlich des 125. Geburtstags von Erich Kästner wird der Dichter an diesem Abend im Café Camus in seinen Gedichten in Liedformen vorgestellt.
Die Texte spiegeln sein wechselhaftes Leben:
Zu Beginn äußerst erfolgreich und berühmt, in der NS-Zeit bleibt er -trotz Publikationsverbots- in Deutschland und nach dem Krieg tritt er weniger als Schriftsteller und eher als politischer Mahner in Erscheinung.
Ringelnatz kommentiert in eigenen Gedichten und ist Stichwortgeber.

Mit „Morgenwonne“ eröffnet er den Geburtstagsreigen und schließt ihn auch mit seinem allerletzten Text „psst!“ ab, der damit endet, dass „eines Morgens alles fort ist“.
​
2012 erarbeiten Johannes Göbel und Martin Mock das erste Programm: „es wär schon schöner, wenn es schöner wäre. Erich Kästner trifft Joachim Ringelnatz“. Seit 2014 sind sie damit deutschlandweit unterwegs von Warnemünde bis Freiburg und von Eupen bis Brandenburg. Im Mai 2022 erfolgte die Studioaufnahme in Berlin.

Inzwischen sind Göbel und Mock mit vier verschiedene Programme „en tour" und arbeiten mit der Stiftung Denkmalschutz zusammen.
